Someone I know last year moved his wife and kids (and mother-in-law) from Illinois to the great “country” of Texas (LOL)…
…and stuck himself smack-dab in the middle of a major “epicenter” for a potential future COLLAPSE within the United States!
Let me explain why – as well as why this affects YOU…
You see, approximately 30% of all US oil refining is done in a small area near the Gulf called Texas City – which is also right near Houston.
With the screwy weather we’ve been experiencing, our systems aren’t fully prepared for the extreme levels of a natural disaster we’ve been seeing.
If a category 5 hurricane sweeps into this area of Texas, it could easily destroy a giant chunk of our needed fuel production…
… and sets off a catastrophic chain-reaction that could threaten you and your family!
You see, this disaster wouldn’t just take out 1/3 of our refineries.
There are hundreds of specialty machine shops, high-tech firms, research centers, and labs in this area that sprung up around these refineries.
If these go, not only will the refineries be shut down, but so will the vast support network that ALL of our refineries tap into for needed repairs and recovery.
But it gets worse…
The losses will CRIPPLE diesel production… our trucking system comes to a crawl… food, fuel, and medicine (and other crucial items) will be in limited supply all around the country.
Food runs low… prices skyrocket… people get desperate – and ANGRY!
In other words, if a disaster like this were to hit, you’ve only got DAYS before rampant price increases and martial law breaks out!
One thing you can do to prepare is take the time now to consider and
plan for a safe, secondary “survival retreat”.
Now, I know what you’re thinking…
“But a survival retreat is just for crazy ‘Doomsday Preppers’, right?”
No, not at all.
It’s for any realistic citizen who understands that their home may not always be the “safe haven” it is now.
You could be uprooted due to a storm or any other number of disasters or crisis.
Where are you going to go?
Some FEMA Camp?
I don’t think so. That’s just not wise and you could be leading your family right into the lion’s den and to even more danger.
Besides, having a secondary safe location in the way of a “survival retreat” DOESN’T have to be expensive or some “bunker” in the woods.
But it DOES require the right planning!
